Ah, now I get it: so you want to bring the sun into the living room through the side window using 2 mirrors. That won’t work. Everyone knows the situation when the sun is reflected in the tilted window of a neighboring house. Such a thing is perceived as disturbing, not pleasant.

As I said: I stick to it: using a light shaft with frosted glass panes as diffuser glass is a great thing. As a bright point of light in a mirror, that doesn’t come close to replacing the sun. But I understand that you’re interested in constructive support here and less in negative whining. Therefore, I will accordingly disengage and wish you much success with the project. If you carry it out, a report on your experience would be exciting!

The height is certainly problematic....6m above the rooftop terrace...the local airport might also have objections....

Yes, with diffuse light it doesn’t bring anything at all. In sunshine, I tested it together with my wife using 2 mirrors. The effect is definitely there. Although of course limited. At 6m height, to surpass the light-stealing house, the efficiency of the whole thing certainly suffers... Calling EnLiCos on the weekend. I’m curious.

I cannot confirm that. I once had a workspace on the north side. Occasionally, there was the chance that the sunlight from across the street was reflected into my room. I found that beautiful and amazing, how the room briefly lit up. I was not sitting directly in the angle of incidence, so it didn’t bother me at all. I basically find the idea very attractive. But I wouldn’t spend much money on it. I’d rather tinker something… maybe a disco ball whose light points are reflected into the house via a simple mirror… Trying makes clever! Best regards, Steffi

Exactly, that's what I thought too. For example, a disco ball or a light display that reflects the incoming light in the room...
