Hello dear community,

we have screened the entire soil excavation of our new building with a roller sieve and distributed the great soil obtained on an area of about 100m², 30-40cm deep, and then neatly leveled with a screed board.
The whole thing is now of course quite loose and needs to be compacted.

Can I also use our small vibratory plate for this, or does it compact too much?
Oh yes, in the end, roll turf is to be laid on the 100m² area.

Definitely compact it, otherwise you'll have a hump lawn in a year...

But not with a board. You now sow grass seed in the loose soil. You roll it in. The gardener or the groundskeeper from the sports club will lend you such a roller. Then you'll soon have a great lawn. Better than turf.

Why should that be better than [Rollrasen]?

He saves a lot of money and now gets the same result within 21 days in summer with such good soil. That’s better.
