Hello everyone,

I think most of you with 2 full stories have a cold roof, meaning the insulation lies directly on the concrete slab. Have you installed a ventilation grille in the area of the [Fußpfette/Traufe]?

you mean so that air can get into the attic there? So above the concrete ceiling and the top insulation all around the facade?

I haven't built yet, but I'm still interested in the answer (we also want to build 2 full stories and a cold roof). ;)

Yes, we have grids exactly there and the wind whistles quite strongly through the roof. Very convenient, as I can dry my laundry perfectly here :) Best regards Steffi

I have been looking at this since yesterday and somehow I can't quite make sense of it. As far as I can tell, ventilation is not necessary at the transition to the masonry if a vapor barrier has been installed. But I don’t know if that is correct.
