You can also overwinter the Wilde Wein outside very well. If you keep it in a container, you have to fertilize it from time to time. A protection made of brushwood on the ground, around the plant, prevents frost damage. Compared to this, the roots really need little space, as this plant grows incredibly far.

You have to make sure that there are related species that may look very similar but belong to ornamental plants. The difference is that then you cannot eat the berries!

The soil must not be acidic at all, as the Wilde Wein does not tolerate this.
