Hello dear forum members,
I have often read here as a guest and successfully tackled or even solved one or the other problem with your help and now I have a question where I simply cannot find an answer, maybe because it is very specific (or as a layman I simply lack the right technical terms for the search).
Problem: In the photo you can see the last layer of our house. In front of this area, the splash protection is to be applied, which we are carrying out ourselves. Our site manager assured us several times that this insulation is the last layer and can be continued directly with studded membrane.
But that didn’t seem quite right to me, so I wanted to get reassurance from the technical manager of the relevant trade. He also confirmed this for me, but said that something else can still be done there. Overall a very vague statement. They did not want to give me anything in writing.
Our garden/landscaping company, which among other things is making our terrace, had no clue about this and has a cooperation company (painting master company) that also said something vague and wanted to send us an offer. This has still not arrived after over 4 weeks. Apparently there is so much work to do.
Now we are at a loss. What can/must/should we still do here before we tackle the splash protection? Or can we start with the splash protection with a clear conscience? Or who else could one approach? Is it sensible to ask other specialist companies for an opinion/offer, or does one just get into an unnecessary cost trap?
About me: I am an absolute layman. There are a few competent hobby craftsmen in the family, but they also did not know what to do in this matter, new construction is new territory for many anyway.
Thank you for your help
