Circulation pump - 10 seconds until warm water arrives

we have a circulation pump, but it takes 5-10 seconds for warm water to come. Is that normal?

There are several types of circulation pump functions:

1. Time-dependent circulation:
The circulation takes place at fixed intervals over a certain period and duration. Sometimes also interrupted when a certain temperature is reached in the circulation "return flow."

2. Draw-off dependent circulation:
Circulation pump switched on for a certain time when the water circuit is opened, to deliver hot water faster to the extraction point.

It seems that no circulation is activated at your place?
How is the pump controlled at your place?

The pump simply plugs into the socket. Our plumber suggested buying a timer switch and using it to turn it on and off depending on the time.

It is a Wilo Star-Z NOVA.

When the pump is plugged in, it consumes 5 watts; when I draw water at a tap, the consumption briefly rises to 230 watts.

That means the pump is constantly plugged in?

Just received the following response: A circulation line must also be integrated at some point. This cannot be done directly at every dispensing point. Consequently, there remains a small section of the line where there is no circulation water. If you have previously had hot water directly, the dispensing point must have been used once before. There is no other technical explanation.
