I hope I am posting in the right thread.

I had a conversation today with two neighbors (new development area).

It was about the topic Rigole (infiltration regulation in the development plan).

All three of us have a Rigole. However, the two neighbors have a vent and mine does not, as it is said to be necessary so that the water can flow well into the Rigole and infiltrate.

Also, our shafts are different. At the neighbors' you can basically look into the Rigole. Not at mine. Here you can see 2 pipes coming from the house and the Rigole pipe starts slightly higher.

Therefore my questions. Was there any "Schindluder" done in my case? Is a vent necessary?

What diameter are your pipes? Ventilation is needed if the expected amount of water almost completely fills the pipe. Because then the escaping air from the infiltration trench pushes against the incoming water. Maybe they only have DN 80 and you have DN 125? And how often do you experience heavy rainfall events? I don't understand the other supposed "problem," often a picture helps more than a thousand words.

Ok I am not a professional, but it seems "wrong" to me. 1. For me that is not a soakaway, but a soakaway shaft. Based on your description, I assume that the rainwater from the roof of your house first flows into this shaft and then, if the amount is too much for the shaft, into a soakaway? 2. In my opinion, the inlets must be higher to prevent backflow. The pipe to the soakaway should be the lowest so that the water that is "too much" for the shaft flows into the soakaway. But I am really not the expert, others should answer that.

There are 3 pipes in this shaft. The two smaller ones come from the house. The thicker one then leads into the [Rigole].

Then it's simply a maintenance shaft for your drainage?
