Actually not. The recoVair from Vaillant costs 3k on the internet with an MSRP of 5k. The pipes cost nothing. Planning is relatively easy to do yourself. It's just overpriced because it's "luxury."

If that much is being asked, just have the pipes installed and screw the unit to the wall yourself.

Well, if you assume that the material costs about €5000 (max €6000), I find €13000 already extremely exaggerated

I'm actually just following along here, but with this price debate I have to speak up as well. Either a lot has happened since last year or central ventilation systems cost twice as much just in my region.

We are currently building a timber frame house. Very simple pipe routes. The actual system will be installed under the attic, the pipes run in the stud walls to the upper floor and directly continue to the ground floor where they come out of the ceiling. We don't need to go through a concrete ceiling at all.

For this manageable installation, we obtained three quotes. They were 19k, 17k, and 15k. Labor costs are the lowest part of this. And if you take a look at the price list of the company Viessmann, it quickly becomes clear how these costs come about. 50m of plastic duct costs 900 €, and the rest of the accessories continue like this.

Tell me a company that doesn’t sell its original accessories with a proper markup compared to NoName products.

Well, those are just the recommended retail prices. When buying, you can get the round pipes offered between 200 and 275€ for 50m (so retail for private customers in the shop, no trade prices - the 75mm and 90mm pipes are the prices I mentioned). If the craftsman charges you 900€, it is your choice to pick another who offers reasonable prices.

Unfortunately, not really. That may be a luxury you can afford in urban areas; here in the countryside, you have to take what you get. Within a radius of 100 km, there are seven sanitary companies. Of those, only three even offer ventilation systems. Of course, I also inquired beyond the mentioned radius, but either they do not accept new customers, the execution can be done no earlier than 2025, or you are confronted with the prices mentioned. Therefore, I would take it immediately for 13,000.
