Hello dear forum,
we have bought a semi-detached house that is yet to be built. The building specification includes a central ventilation system with exhaust/intake bends in spiral ducting. For the ground floor (kitchen, living room, guest WC), the first floor (bathroom, bedroom, 2 children’s rooms), and the attic studio. We wish for the basement to be ventilated automatically as well. Because a large room in the basement will often be used as a hobby room by an allergy sufferer. Also in the basement is the laundry/technical room as well as a small additional room for storage or occasionally as a guest room.
The device planned is the VALLOX Controlled Residential Ventilation 090 SE. Due to our special request, we have been advised to take another, more powerful device: valloplus se500. The former is, according to the manufacturer Heinemann’s homepage, in the professional line category, the latter in the commercial line:
The first difference I see is the wattage, 900 versus 1000 kW.
Can you help me assess whether
- this more powerful device is necessarily required
- this more powerful device would be advisable (e.g., for comfort)
- the KWL090 SE would suffice (possibly under which circumstances)
- disadvantages, advantages?
According to the offer, the price difference is about €700 for the device as well as additional costs for installation €100 and "larger dimension as a result of the bigger ventilation unit flat rate" €565 and additional cost for insulation of the larger ventilation pipes flat rate €210.
In addition, of course, the individual parts such as the spiral ducting, valve, connector... for €400.
Many thanks to everyone!
