Hello everyone!

We are currently gathering information because we want to build. Among other things, we are looking into timber frame construction with cellulose insulation. We have already had a conversation with a timber construction company that builds this way and with a graduate engineer who used to be a construction manager at Griffner and is now self-employed, running a planning office. However, this gentleman now mainly builds solid structures. He somewhat advised against the cellulose blow-in technique because he said the material would settle and you would have to blow in more later. He said it would be better to use compressed insulation boards that are nailed in at the factory (I don't know if I understood that correctly).

Today we met an acquaintance who works at a company that insulates with blown-in cellulose. He said that the guy was talking absolute nonsense. Nothing settles there.

Has anyone of you had experience with cellulose and would like to report?

Actually, the gentleman made a great impression on us, and we really considered hiring him. And now this?

Best regards to everyone
