First of all, I am not an electrical or drywall professional, but I don't have two left hands.

Since I'm currently a bit annoyed by the prices of the prefab house electrician for ceiling spots (just drilling the hole costs 40€ net) on top. Plus the actual spot/floodlight... Therefore, I'm considering whether I should simply order ceiling outlets, meaning the cables come out of the ceiling, and I drill the hole myself? Inside the house it would be a 68mm hole through Fermacell and outside then a corresponding hole through the cladded roof overhang? Or is it not worth the hassle?

Sure, I somehow don’t see why I should pay a €40 surcharge for a hole with a diameter of 68 mm, and then another xy€ for the actual lamp... I was thinking either I take down the [Fermacell plate] from the ceiling again and drill the hole, then screw the stuff back on. Or I shorten the cable coming out of the ceiling enough so that I can get over it with the hole saw and carefully drill the hole without damaging the cable. And if necessary, I might have to extend the cable a bit again.

40€ is still cheap. I was completely shocked when he mentioned his prices. Then I told the construction company that they can remove the electrician and that I would do it myself.

A 68mm hole is 90% accurate. There are also smaller or larger ones. But with 68 you can't go wrong. I would check Amazon beforehand and order a few for testing or you can take a look at a lighting dealer.
If you only want to save yourself the hole, you can do it that way. The question is whether he agrees with that. That's how they make their money... The money from the prefab house provider for the electrical installation is basically a zero sum.

Otherwise, you can easily do it afterward. At least a cable should be laid outside then.

This is definitely not rocket science and even someone with two left hands can probably determine the middle of a room or an equal distance on a house front.

Then it's best to order the frame and the light bulb separately. It only has advantages and is significantly cheaper than ready-made spots.

I'm curious now, for the next construction cost compilation I have set the creation of the 68mm holes as well as the delivery and installation of the ceiling spots as the responsibility of the construction side. Looking forward to the reaction. This way I am the most flexible and can still decide whether a connection will be recessed or surface-mounted as a ceiling spot.
