Ceiling lamp - color of the power cord and ceiling canopy

I bought a black ceiling lamp with hanging lampshades. The ceiling housing is black, the ceiling is white. Now I have to lay cable about 20cm from the ceiling outlet to this housing. Which color looks better there: white or black? It concerns the junction canopy and the supply cable/wiring.

One more question: Should it be installed neatly (straight, unobtrusive) or can the supply line be allowed to "hang down"?

Neither. There are really great textile-covered cables in all sorts of designs. Turn necessity into an accent.

And what are they hanging from? Accordingly, I would choose the piece of cable above.
We also have such a construction as a lamp but haven't given it much thought. While writing, I looked at it: white… I wouldn't have been able to say that without looking. What I mean by that: it doesn't matter at all :)

Same problem.. We decided on "white" and "straight".. as inconspicuous as possible. We also had to work with a wooden strip because we were not allowed to drill the lamp (for the cable passage) due to warranty or possible return.

Thanks! Yes, it looks about the same with us too! Only that part is black. Drilling is actually something I hadn’t thought about - regarding returns if I don’t like it or it doesn’t work. Do manufacturers always assume that you will attach the lamp directly under the outlet?

I found the solution from the manufacturer very unfortunate back then with our lamp.. you could actually only mount it destructively right under the wall outlet. I even contacted the manufacturer/seller and he confirmed that if I drill into the lamp, I would lose the right of return/warranty. So we came up with the idea of the strip. The necessary hole for the cable is now in the wood :)

Here again from another perspective... I would also recommend white to you, it simply looks the most inconspicuous.
