It could happen that the LRA requires us to demolish our current house after building the new one (the clearance distances will be slightly undershot). One of the many thoughts occupying us is "should/could we keep the basement (possibly for supplies like garden vegetables)?" We live right next door, it could prove to be practical. Another idea is to have a natural pond/pool in the future. Could the basement walls be left standing and the pit simply used for that? I would like to know whether these thoughts are practical or silly ;)
