When parquet is installed, a gap always remains between the wall and the end of the click-parquet panels. This is theoretically necessary to allow the parquet to expand with heat.
Ok, but how is it in practice? I have already experienced twice that liquid / buckets have tipped over and flowed into this exact gap.
I would like to fill the gaps with soft, transparent silicone (at least on one side). Are the negative effects really dramatic or noticeable?
Is there perhaps a special silicone for this exact purpose?
