Hello everyone!

Today my son and I started assembling the tall cabinets of the Metod carcasses.

Now we also have the large Frostig (177 cm) and the large Frysa for installation here.

My question:

In the first instruction of the refrigerator, only one installation combination is shown, which is not problematic at first, but what makes me suspicious is that the two smaller back panels are to be cut out as openings.

Uh? Is that correct? Also for the large refrigerator and also for the freezer?

When googling similar questions without answers, someone also said that if you already have freezer and refrigerator on one socket, no other electrical devices should be plugged in – We are both desperately trying to build a large block here, with an oven and microwave installed in the middle, then a large storage cabinet on both sides and at both ends the cooling appliances. Should I also reconsider the socket issue now?

Many thanks!

The back panels stabilize the carcass (as soon as they are nailed), if the cable is long enough I would save the trouble, ventilation takes place anyway through the opening in the bottom panel and also above through the cabinet’s top.

Regarding the socket,
Nonsense, it depends on the power consumption of the devices how many you can connect to one line, the power consumption of the devices is listed on the type plate, the refrigerator and freezer each should have about 200 W power consumption.
What is absolutely taboo, however, are extension cords and multiple extensions!
The only exception is if the extensions meet the same specifications as the original cable. Therefore, the €1.99 hardware store, discount store, Ikea and other bargain bin plugs are out, as the cable connections inside are, to put it mildly, crap.

I wouldn’t care now if only the fridge and freezer are connected, what are we talking about 400 - 500 W, ~ 2 amperes.
The oven definitely needs its own circuit with 16 A.
The microwave depending on power consumption maybe as well, definitely not on the multiple socket, especially not if it is inaccessible behind/under the cabinet!

Yes, definitely review/consider the electrical setup.
