Your financial situation is actually not bad, but 1300 for the cars... What you spend on insurance and gas per month adds up to about what we spend in a year... Maybe I would try to change something about that.

Dear Yvonne,

I can't really tell you how much the property is worth. Since we are far out in the sticks, I would say about 30,000 euros.

We have not been given any specifications regarding buildable area. The location is on the outskirts of town and according to the person in charge at the district office, our plans would not be a problem.

You work for your cars, that is the problem. Address the problem at this point. And sell the other house, you are paying for it permanently.

The old house is not profitable at all; on the contrary, it eats up your liquidity. The new house is tendentially calculated too cheaply at 180 sqm. That doesn't work. Old house gone, and take another look at the mobility costs, something's not right there. Also, I wouldn't build a 180 sqm new house in a location where 1400 sqm is only worth 30,000 euros. The place is practically unsellable once occupied, to put it bluntly. If you absolutely want to go there, buy cheaply on the existing market and renovate with your own work/craftsmen.

Well , she already has the property.

You also have to be able to afford the personal contributions. I don't see that except for the usual finishing work. Because here full-time work and possibly a child speak against it. You won’t be finished in a year, and the financing costs are ticking...

Regards, Yvonne

What use is it? With the given conditions, it is just dead capital, because a new building as described is not very likely.
The problem could simply be to turn this into money.
