Building a house, future plans - use building savings or interest now?

Ok but isn't it smart to secure the good interest rate now with a home savings contract for in 10 years? If interest rates rise again soon, we'll regret not having secured the rates.

I think Riestern is out for me anyway, since I'm too inflexible there (selling/renting) and the state doesn't give you the money as a gift but wants it back.

What amount would you consider as a savings target? I think we could manage 100,000 by the time we're both 30.

We live near Erding, a bit more to the east...

Here the price per square meter near the city is about 400€ and in more rural areas about 100€
