I had various landscapers on site during the preparation of the offer, and each told me something different: Therefore my question is: Which studded foil do I need to attach to the house wall before filling with humus or similar? One with or without fleece? One landscaper said that without fleece is currently no longer allowed? Then the question: How is the foil attached: studs to the house wall or the smooth side to the house wall? I originally thought the question would be embarrassing to ask, but since I have received so many different statements, there seems to be uncertainty here. What do you think?

99% use without fleece, but I believe it would be better with it. However, the studs should definitely face the house side, then ventilation is ensured and any water drains off better.

With the foil with fleece, is the smooth side, which is covered with fleece, also installed on the outside?

Wall is plastered or clad? N-foil is not waterproofing. With clinker, first apply 2 x sealing slurry or 2K bitumen thick coating. Also question the primary waterproofing and its height between the wall layers. N-foil with fleece towards the wall and studs away from the wall, i.e. towards the earth side. Finish at the top with a capping strip so that rainwater does not run in from above. The fleece protects the waterproofing layer on that side from damage such as abrasion spots. Studs towards the wall only make sense if the wall is to be ventilated. If it does not drain at the bottom, moisture accumulates. With a capping strip, ventilation is impaired again.

The wall is already coated with sealing slurry, but the height is not correct yet. Something still needs to be applied. On the basement side, a studded foil with fleece has already been installed. However, this no longer protrudes for backfilling or compacting. Therefore, we need to install about 40-50cm of studded foil again when landscaping the garden.

Hi,
just google "Wie sind Gebäude gegen Grund- und Schichtenwasser zu schützen?". You will get general information about drainage!
Best regards
