Because sure, I can just take the Yellow Pages and start calling. But I think there are good and less good people among them and maybe one of you in the area has someone they can highly recommend?

What about portals like MyHammer.de? Or are they rather not recommended?

if you are considering Myhammer, I can only recommend that you closely examine the background of the companies / people who get in touch.

Offers from "unqualified" all-rounders are not uncommon here - whether you then want to entrust a structural request to a trained tiler (absolutely no disrespect intended), I would dare to doubt... ;)

Yes, I have thought about it. Because with my last move, I had my washing machine (Miele) and dining table (solid wood, extendable to 2.9m) transported for a small fee. So carrying down, transporting, and carrying up.

I will do that then. Or possibly I will call a structural engineer and talk to one. Only you usually don’t know in advance whether they know what they’re doing and secondly whether they charge "normal" prices or rip you off.
