It is important to me that a dishwasher is quiet, especially that it does not emit high-frequency sounds. I have not been able to tolerate these since my brain tumor. Not affected but understandable for a person who comprehends the nature of frequency, amplitude, and resonance. Probably only buying from a retailer with an appropriate return policy helps. Years ago we bought devices from AO (and kept them), that went completely problem-free. I would gladly offer you a trial listening at our place – only we have dispensed with the dishwasher in the new house. Many nice things do not tolerate machine washing well and washing up together is quick. When the boys are here, they have to help with the washing up. When we had guests, my wife and I happily shared our experiences while washing up.
