Hello everyone,
we have a house from the company Schwörerhaus, which is now about 8 years old.
In the last 4-5 years, we have had more and more problems with bird nests under the roof and under the roof tiles. The roof tiles of the cross brace (see photos) unfortunately do not close on the side, which therefore provides nesting space for birds, which is being used. Do you know if this is normal (so far I have not seen a house with open tiles) and what could be done about it?
Another problem is that the roof under the gutter is also not properly closed (see photo with red arrows). Birds are nesting here as well. Does anyone know if this incomplete closure is necessary or if it is a construction defect? The main problem, unfortunately, is the large amount of bird droppings. I am seriously concerned that the aggressive bird droppings could cause damage under the roof and it is certainly not great for the health of my small children. What could be done here?
The company Schwörerhaus did not help us further.
Thanks for your help and best regards,
Marco
