Hello forum members,

we have received a letter from BG Bau.
Submission deadline approx. 4 weeks. Questionnaire about the construction project including a specification of what tasks which companies are doing and what we are doing ourselves. Furthermore, a construction diary in which we are supposed to record the helper activities and helpers and present it upon request.

Is this mandatory?

I have not found anything comprehensible about this on the internet or here in the forum.
We are not the only ones who receive this after the building permit, right?
Or is this more like "advertising"?

Best regards

Hello hausnrplus25

everyone gets that. You also have to fill it out and send it back. The purpose is this:
Every helper, arranged free of charge or for a small amount by family, will be charged very expensively by the BG Bau. And I mean really expensive. Of course, you have to answer truthfully. In my case, only my wife and I worked on the construction site. Only the shell was done by a company.

Where exactly is that expensive, please? For that, your helpers are adequately covered by accident insurance. That is really peanuts in the overall context of a construction project.

Wow, they really got on my nerves. It felt like there was a letter every other month, even though I named all the trades in the first letter.

That can backfire. Because if you don't write back by the 3rd or 4th time, they simply set a flat rate and send you a bill.
