Hello,

I came across the Bauherren-Schutzbund e.V. by chance yesterday. Has anyone here already had experience with the Bauherren-Schutzbund?

For building a house, I would like to consult an independent building advisor, possibly the Bauherren-Schutzbund for energy advice, consultation before signing the contract, and accompanying quality control during construction.

A competent building advisor is also available locally for us. Now I am wondering whether the hourly rates (hourly rate/building advisor: 72.00 euros gross | hourly rate/technical staff: 40.00 euros gross) are actually discounted - so whether a membership (one-time admission fee: 52.00 euros | monthly membership fee: 11.00 euros) would be worthwhile?

Thanks in advance for your information.

Best regards

Sven.

I’m bumping this up here.
I have already taken a closer look at the VPV (specifically for me in Bielefeld).
For comparison, another expert here on site charges the following amounts:

[TD="align: right"]571 Euros

[TD="align: right"]771 Euros

[TD="align: right"]421 Euros

For the acceptance of shell construction services

For the acceptance of construction work on the occasion of a turnkey handover
For the acceptance of construction services for individual trades

The hourly rate is about 80 Euros.

Is there anyone present with good or bad experiences to share?

Here is my experience with [Verband Privater Bauherren e.V.]:

short version: it did not bring me much.

long version:

Negative:
I registered at least a year ago.
The mediation of construction experts is nice, but there are no financial advantages if you are a member of [Verband Privater Bauherren]. The next [Verband Privater Bauherren] expert was half an hour away by car and had the same conditions as an independent professional from the neighboring town. I decided to go with the nearby professional.
The newsletter appealed to me only a little.
Even as a member, you still have to pay if you want document packages.
What disappointed me the most was the complete lack of response to my written cancellation (with request for a cancellation confirmation), the telephone unreachability of [Verband Privatier Bauherren], and the continued withdrawal of the membership fee by [Verband Privater Bauherren].
Well, maybe this is just an isolated case...

Positive:
I generally consider the advice to bring an expert who represents your own side to important appointments on the construction site to be very sensible.
