We are planning the parents' bathroom, which should not/must not become a large wellness oasis, but rather be designed functionally. We would like a bathtub measuring 180x75 because my husband is over 1.90m tall. In addition, we have planned a walk-in shower measuring 120x90 with a glass partition, and my husband would like either a double sink or two single sinks next to each other, but definitely two washbasins. The drainage pipes will run at the spot marked with the red dot. Ideally, the toilet would be on that side, otherwise we would need to have correspondingly thick pipes embedded in the floor. The floor plan shows the idea of the builder; we have tried several other options but somehow have not yet found the perfect solution. We would definitely like to have a little storage space for a cabinet, which does not need to be huge since we want to install cabinets under the washbasins, but this is missing in the previous variants. Maybe someone has an idea. Thank you very much in advance :-)

Why have a double washbasin if there's not even a chance of having to share the bathroom with children? You want to accommodate quite large objects.

yes, the double washbasin would not be a priority for me either, but so far I have not been able to convince my husband to omit it

Does he clean the bathroom?
What are his arguments?

I tend to go with idea 1 and then a freestanding bathtub centered under the window. The room is so big, the tub could even be placed far enough from the wall to clean behind it.

No rational arguments. Always been like that, you can also get ready at the same time.... nothing you would consider rationally sensible ;-)
