Hello,

we are currently planning our new build and so far I am quite satisfied with it. However, what I am not happy with yet is the bathroom. There should definitely be a floor-level shower with a glass partition on the side, preferably 1m x 1.2m - 1.4m. In the floor plan, the shower is currently only planned with 90cm. I actually wanted the shower at the top of the plan with the opening towards the door. However, the construction company told me that shower openings are not allowed to face the door, as they do not want to be liable for splashing water in the hallway. Does anyone have an idea for the layout? The window cannot be moved any further. The door could be moved to where the shower is now.

Thanks for your help.
Best regards, Melanie

I just read your post and immediately have two suggestions for you here. However, the room dimensions are only "estimated." Maybe there's something interesting in there.

So, a shower under the slant is just awesome!

Dear Melanie, what does the BU say about the distance between the shower fitting and the door? His rule surely only applies up to a certain range?

Do you want to equip the tub with pedestals or also install a large washbasin, or furnish it as Spartan as shown?

No, actually the upper wall is 3.82m and that was already too little for him. I don't really understand that, but he does not want to build the shower with an opening towards the door.

First of all, the tub, shower, toilet, and sink should be placed acceptably. After that, I would adjust the rest of the furnishings. There should be no pedestals and no large washbasin.

Basically, I want to have a nice position for the shower without having to build an additional wall.

Thank you. Actually, I would like to plan without an additional wall for the shower.

... then just post your bathroom plan with dimensions, e.g. the window wall, etc.

Does the red dashed line mean the 2m line? How high is the knee wall?

And then sketch where you would put the sink.
