Hello everyone,
we bought a house with a basement apartment. At first glance, everything looked good. Now we have removed the baseboards and unscrewed the sockets for the painter.
Under the baseboards it is black and one socket is rusting (see pictures). So I suspect we have a moisture problem.
I can well imagine that this whole thing was caused only by incorrect ventilation. You can also see at other places that the previous owners did not ventilate properly. But of course it can also come from outside/from below.
On the internet, craftsmen warn against unnecessary new waterproofing of basements.
What do you think? Consult an expert/technical inspection?
Regards and thanks
