Hello community,

I am new here in the forum, but have been reading the interesting posts for some time.

I now have a problem that is very close to my heart. Today, or rather yesterday around 3 pm, the foundation of my house was poured. At first, it only rained a little, but then a thunderstorm came with a lot of rain. The water now stands at least 5 cm on the foundation. Is that much water not bad for the foundation? In addition, the rain washed out the slope (like a landslide), so that now hundreds of kilos of sand lie on the foundation. The house is from a developer.

Who takes responsibility now?

This is not normal, is it?

I have attached a picture.

I thank you in advance for the answers or advice.

So apparently not only the house belongs to the developer, but also the land. And with that, I would say, not your problem. Therefore, let it be the developer's concern.

If there was a thunderstorm (by the way, cool new word creation), it can certainly be normal for it to look like that afterward. Only whether it’s good or not, specialists should answer that.

I am impressed. Ideally, the insurance will pay for this. On the other hand, the creator of this work is responsible for slope stabilization. Whether that would have prevented it or resulted in less damage is debatable. However, that should be the problem of your contracting partners.

You meant the Ungewitter with the new creation, right?

Learned something new again, but at least it doesn't seem to stem from the current language anymore.
