Hey everyone,

today the formwork for our basement walls was installed. Apparently, one wall tipped over and was damaged on the outer formwork.
The house construction company says: everything will now be reworked and manually re-formed and this is technically not a problem.
Does anyone have experience with this and can tell us if we should rather insist on a new basement wall?
The basement is being built as a living basement.

Thank you for a brief assessment,
Christine

Phew... I consider the connections, statics, and concrete cover of the steel (precast compared to in-situ concrete) to be critical.

From gut feeling: demand rework, but keep in mind that this means weeks of construction stoppage.

How do you imagine that? Chipping off the loose parts and shuttering? I believe that works, but only a structural expert or the manufacturer of the prefabricated parts can give you information. I would call them and show them the pictures.

Neither in terms of tightness nor in terms of statics a problem. The tightness is ensured by the WU concrete and, if applicable, by the additional black coating, the statics by the concrete and the reinforcement. Moisture is unlikely in the upper area anyway. A formwork is set up there and only concrete is used.
