So I would urgently recommend going there and looking behind the wallpaper.... if there is still residual moisture inside and you tile over it, that can really cause problems...

How old is the house and why has it still not been tiled after so many years? That alone would make me think....

Get an expert from the list of publicly sworn appraisers and have them measure and inspect it.... it doesn't cost much if they just take a look, maybe around 200 euros or so

If they had found something, the previous owner should have told you.... sure, they might not remember anything now...... and if something like that happens, you usually don't inform the neighbor either, so you can't rely on that!

If something is wrong and he didn't inform you, that is fraudulent concealment.

In the automotive sector, you have to disclose previous damages to the buyer, but in the real estate sector, if they have been professionally repaired, I have never heard of this.

I had written "if there is something".....yes, and if there is something = there is residual moisture, then it is fraudulent deception if the seller knew about it.
