The lacquered bamboo finished parquet natural horizontal, which we received, is much more yellow in color than the sample based on which we placed the order.
Question: does anyone have experience with the color change due to light exposure? One reads that it gets a bit darker, but does it also lose the yellow tint as a result?
Thank you very much in advance for the feedback!
PS: if I wanted to lay formwork panels, I would have ordered such...

Hello markaba,

Wood loses its original appearance due to sunlight exposure, which also applies to bamboo (which is actually a grass, not a tree). However, this change becomes noticeable only after some time and depending on the sun exposure of the floor, so not immediately after installation.

Since bamboo flooring comes in different varieties and surface appearances (e.g. stained, steamed), in your case it would be helpful to directly compare the color and variety designation of the sample (sticker on the back of the sample?) with the details of the ordered and installed floor – if the sample is still available. Without a direct comparison of sample and installed floor, it will be difficult to make a claim.

Finally, a tip:
As a purchaser of building products, one should always check whether the delivered goods correspond to the order; that is, before processing, compare the product designation on the packaging or delivery note with the product designation in the order or contract.
