Hello everyone,
we have a problem.
We have a balcony (5m x 2.20m) on our (wood) house. Unfortunately, it has no slope and the water stands. Now we wanted to attach WPC decking boards, but the water still won't drain.
Now we wanted to build a substructure with a slope, on which a tray will be placed for the water to drain. Unfortunately, we are supposed to build the substructure ourselves and don't really know how.
We were advised to saw 2.20 m long and 2 cm wide slats wedge-shaped and then screw them on. It actually sounds quite simple. But the implementation is not really good.
We sawed a slat with the result that the thin side of the wedge breaks quite quickly and breaks apart when screwing on the existing balcony.
Also, the sawed wedge is not STRAIGHT but rather wavy.
Does anyone have an idea for a solution to our problem? How do we best make a substructure for the tray? Screed or something like that is out of the question.
Are there perhaps any prefabricated kits for this?
I hope I have not expressed myself too unclearly.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
