Hello everyone,
we finally need to finish our balcony. The building is a sand-lime brick building with thermal insulation. The balcony is cantilevered, so there is no building underneath. It was built with Schüco baskets and is 17 m long, about 2.4 m wide. The balcony/house connection was sealed with Kemperol before moving in. The rest of the balcony consists of concrete slabs. A slight slope is already present due to the baskets. Therefore, no water remains standing when it rains.
Since we have to pay attention to the weight and need a 13 cm build-up, pedestals and slabs should be installed.
Questions:
1. Does a slight slope still need to be created?
2. What do you think about sealing with 2-component / sealing slurry?
It has to be affordable given the many square meters; preferably something to paint/roll on, as a stainless steel railing is already installed and should be sealed around.
Best regards and thanks in advance for the input,
Petra
