Hello everyone!
I'm not quite sure if this request is exactly right here. If not, please just move it;)
Since the majority of my house renovation has been completed for a few months, I will now focus on the leaking balcony. Moisture has seeped in from above and caused the paint on the underside to peel. Now I want to freshen up the balcony and then have a friend who is a craftsman install the new railing from the outside. The balcony is about 7000x1200mm in size, with about 800mm of the 1200mm being covered.
My research has so far revealed the following:
1. Remove old flooring (tiles) including screed
2. Check the concrete and repair damaged areas
3. Create a slope
4. Waterproofing
Is there anything fundamental to add here? Points 1, 2, and 4 should be doable for me. I'm just thinking about how to properly implement a slope of 1.5-2%. Can anyone give me some suggestions for this?
Many thanks in advance!
