Hello Hilaria,

exactly that service was also included in the price with us, only with us, fortunately, a part could be stored on the property.
But where is the problem? The work is done by the civil engineer, who is included and that's it. The material MUST come from you, no matter who you take! It can't be that you only have 2 suppliers for soil (the one on vacation and your civil engineer?!)
Make sure you get one who delivers material, then the civil engineer can fuss all he wants...

You have to procure the soil (have it procured), your civil engineer has to install it!

Hello Perlemann,
we have been trying to coordinate for several weeks.
Of course there are more than two suppliers, but collaboration is systematically being sabotaged.
Appointments are made, canceled the day before, then new ones arranged, then employees are sick, then new ones again, then a new construction site, then again new ones, and then vacation ... it goes on like this all the time.
They want to consistently prevent the material from coming from another earthworks contractor!!!

The other earthworks contractors want a lead time of 3 working days, which I can certainly understand, and no one tolerates more than 2 cancellations.

If we don't get anywhere now, we will also threaten legal action, I am fed up.

Best regards, Hilaria

Hello construction expert, yes, your red-marked sections were and are indeed known to us as incidental construction costs. Now you know that the earthworks contractor already gave us a hard time with the transport, as he simply started earlier here, and thus we had to pay his excessive price for transport and disposal.

We also wanted to remove the "package" of backfilling and compaction, but our contractor does not want to credit us for it, which means we would have to pay for it externally a second time. Somehow, we just don’t see it. We just want to buy our materials at market prices, no more and no less!

If we cannot reach an amicable agreement, the only option left will probably be the threat of legal action.

Regards, Hilaria

If you are interested, I will report how it goes on, next week is basically the showdown.
