Hello building partners,
our shell is up and soon we have to take care of the roof insulation.
Starting point (current status): Roof tiles will be laid this week.
Roof battens
Counter battens
50mm wood fiber boards
Now, how does it look inside?
Our energy certificate states the following about the roof structure:
50mm wood fiber insulation WF DIN EN 13171
200 mm mineral wool MW DIN EN 13162 035
PP foil >= 0.05 mm
30 mm *Standing air layer, heat flow upwards.
15 mm gypsum plasterboard DIN 18180
As I have already read, the wood fiber boards are diffusion-open. So, an insulation between the rafters should be possible.
But which foil (vapor retarder/barrier/climate foil) should be used?
View between the rafters

We also need help with the attic. What is the state of the art here? If you insulate the roof surfaces completely up to the top, do you also insulate the attic again with mineral wool or similar + appropriate foil?
Thanks for the help and suggestions.
Best regards
