Attack direction and door position in the bathroom upstairs

upstairs will probably be built starting tomorrow. We are not 100% certain about one detail yet. It concerns the door to the upstairs bathroom. Would you prefer the door to open towards the shower or towards the wall (where a bathroom cabinet will be placed):

Our architect told me that a door should, in case of doubt, always open towards the closest wall.

hm, I would have also spontaneously said "to the wall, not to the shower" - but on the other hand, one also just quickly goes to the bathroom to wash hands, brush teeth, or whatever, and that's more the way to the sink, and I would rather not walk "around the door," but rather open the door about 75-80° towards the shower...

Open to the left. Pure gut feeling... And in BauPaar's opinion, I think that with "quickly washing hands" the door on the left can cause less damage than with the shower :)

Are you always so stormy in the bathroom? :P - you can really plan something well with stoppers, buffers, or similar :)
