Attaching wall panels personally

Hello everyone,

I bought a new countertop from Ikea because we also wanted to change our kitchen front.
Since we liked it so much in the showroom, we also bought the wall panels matching the countertop Personlig.
The lady in the kitchen department said that these should be attached to the wall with double-sided tape.

I am a bit skeptical about that. Has anyone of you done this already?
I would be grateful for tips!

Hello, I haven't done that yet. Whether it holds well mainly depends on the surface. Assembly adhesive would probably work too. Or drill holes and use dowels if the material allows it.
