Attach the skirting board immediately after tiling or later

Hello everyone,
we have a lot of tiling going on and our tiler said that he would like to do the skirting board later because of the settling of the screed and moisture (so it can still escape somewhere).
Some acquaintances said they would definitely leave out the silicone joint because otherwise there is a risk that it will crack.
Is it normal to wait with the skirting board (also tile) – asking stupidly because we have already been in some new builds where it was done right away.
Best regards

"Normal" does not exist at this point. One leaves the joints open, another closes them, fully aware that they will crack (which is why they are not covered by the warranty). Decide according to your gut Feeling Christmas greetings

Leave them open, like everyone else in our neighborhood... Except us, we have ugly cracks, and we face the tedious removal of the joints and renewal

Merry Christmas

We had it done, and so far (after 1.5 years) there has only been a crack about 30cm long in one spot in the bathroom. I repaired it myself with color-matched silicone in about 5 minutes; it is only visible if you know about it and look closely. All other areas (another bathroom, both hallways, stairs, dining kitchen, large office, etc.) have been absolutely flawless so far. For me, waiting would have achieved nothing except that 1.5 years of dirt and hair would have gotten into the cracks (and possibly cat vomit/hairballs, no thanks).
