Ash parquet on underfloor heating? Which wood as an alternative?

Hello,

we are currently planning our flooring in the bedrooms/children's rooms (with underfloor heating) and were thinking of parquet.

Oak is expensive because it is supposedly very trendy. And we don't even like oak that much.
Beech and maple are said to be unsuitable for underfloor heating.
We also don't like dark tropical woods, and they are certainly expensive as well.

So the focus fell on ash.

Now I have read different reports about the use of ash parquet over underfloor heating.

Sometimes it is said that ash is suitable for underfloor heating, then the opposite is claimed again. So what is true?

And which other parquet can be used besides oak, walnut, and tropical woods?

You can basically use any type of wood. Glue it and that's it. Use two-layer parquet, it's cheaper and completely sufficient when glued.

P.S. Oak is too expensive? How much is your parquet allowed to cost?

I don’t think any type of wood, for example, maple and beech are generally discouraged online.

I can’t say exactly what it is allowed to cost. I calculated with 50 EUR / sqm (including labor), but that was a mixed calculation, in the basement I will probably lay cheap laminate myself, so it can be a bit more expensive in the bedrooms than in the basement.

We only noticed it with offers for wooden steps for our stairs: oak is very trendy, the demand is high. Oak was about 30-40% more expensive in the offers. I don’t need to chase every trend for that money.

The next best seemed to be ash. The stairs and parquet should also be made of the same wood, for aesthetic reasons.

There is a lot on the internet
I had maple myself in the house. Large color changes in a relatively short time. I really didn't like it.

Haro and Parador allow (I know for sure about Haro, I believe it about Parador) all types of wood for use with underfloor heating.

For 50€ including installation, you can't expect much either. Good parquet often costs that much even without installation and laying materials. Here you can save a lot of money with your own work without doing much wrong. Then you can also get by with less than 50€ per sqm and get, for example, oak parquet.

As I said, €50 was just a rough estimate. I didn’t really think much about which floors I wanted and how much the labor would cost during the initial phase.

Still, I don’t trust myself to glue parquet. Click laminate, on the other hand, I would.

The consensus would therefore be, as long as a manufacturer approves a parquet for underfloor heating, everything is fine?
