I didn't want to attack anyone here. Sorry The 3m power cable can be cut in no time. Then it looks exactly like with a camera that is powered by POE. Except the POE camera has the connection hidden in the base.

There is also a 1.8m "short" cable for the power supply. And yes, something like described with pushing the power supply into the roof box is what I have in mind, a piece of cable then sticks out and goes to the Arlo.

Thanks for the feedback, even if the question was not regarding the system. It is sufficient for my purposes.

Clean solution with the maintenance flap. But what is the socket still needed for?

Because of data protection. The burglar can turn off the camera if he does not want to be filmed.

Possible Christmas lights, illuminated star for example. Or for an extension cable which could then be for the Christmas decoration standing on the ground ....
