Oh Ikea expert... You old world improver. Right, you can router it out, can't you? Then the old hinges fit as well, right....

That's why you're here, because you always have a solution. Thank you...

Hi,

or just replace one hinge including a new damper and leave the second, old hinge in place. Saves at least 50% compared to buying new. ;)

Regards

Nayla

PS: By the way, there are also universal dampers that have nothing to do with the hinge. Cost, also 5€ for 2 pieces. The above-mentioned variant is, however, more stable and higher quality.

Sure, it can be done with a rotary tool or file, but seriously, is the time investment worth it compared to the cost? But it was still a good tip to replace only one hinge per door with the new ones equipped with dampers. As for the damper systems independent of the hinges, well, I think they're crap.

With a needle file, the round shape becomes square in two or three minutes. Of course, this is more for a hobbyist or someone who has to count every cent.

Or doesn’t always want to throw everything away right away... It’s really very simple and I save myself a lot of money... For that, I don’t need to be a Scrooge or a penny pincher
