HELLO,

great forum here.

The surveying for the subdivision of a property is supposed to cost about 6,000 euros. Does anyone know if the surveying costs can also be negotiated outside of the fee schedule?

I personally find the requested 6,000 EUR definitely too expensive. Just ask the fee calculation which fee schedule was used for this. On what basis did the 6,000 EUR even come together? If the surveyor has enough orders, he will hardly negotiate, but if he is looking for work, then you can negotiate with anyone! Regards Ingo

So the surveying of our plot of land with just under 800 sqm cost 1700 € with a full surveying program. That means he also does detailed and rough staking out of the excavation pit. No idea what would be different because of the plot division. Maybe you should have the surveyor explain that to you.

Yes, that always varies from region to region. I pay €1150 for the surveying, for a total of 470 sqm. By the way, I come from BW (rural area).

Hello,

That’s quite a figure....

The costs of the survey can only be marginally negotiated, as they *must* be based on the HOAI and this is valid for all federal states. I cannot assess the amounts mentioned above, but I assume that not all service levels have yet been provided and invoiced for this construction project. As a rule, the entire survey from the preliminary site plan to the final measurement (after completion of the construction project) costs between €2,000.00 and €3,000.00 net for a "normally sized" single-family house; the division survey costs an additional good €800.00.

I therefore suggest you ask your surveyor how this immense amount is composed or whether possibly an unrelated "0" has slipped into the invoice for the division survey.

Kind regards

The small plot to be partitioned is approximately 2,000 sqm in size and the unit value/sqm is 280 euros/sqm. The length of the dividing boundary is approximately 70 m.
