Are room heights over 3 meters uncomfortable? Experiences

The 2.90 on the ground floor just feels generous, it really has something.

I already had 2.80 myself, it was really comfortable. But now it would be 3.25 minus floor buildup, so about 3.10m clear height. We would have to lower the living room (because of the terrain) more than planned/wanted.

This would also mean one less step down.

I also read that an adjacent room (dining room) feels cramped.

Terrace doors are available without problems up to about 2.37m, after that it gets more difficult. You would probably have to consider transom windows.

It is also questionable whether a potentially considered climate ceiling (because of the height) would lose effectiveness.
