I know, still I might understand something different under the search term than the OP
Mostly, it actually refers to a straightforward city villa with a high WD, as Yvonne correctly wrote (I would rather call it a cube house). However, this term is also often used for a Mediterranean architectural style – also with a high WD, but with bay windows and dormers. Then there are again people for whom a coffee grinder house _must_ be "playful," like for example in the attachment (an older sketch from our architect).
Our architect has already drawn all variants and then built our BU; since so many different ideas can really hide behind one term, I prefer to ask first
