Hello everyone!

I have a question.

Is it possible to apply a brush-on plaster directly onto drywall throughout the whole house? I understand that the screw holes and edges need to be repaired and sanded beforehand! Also, I assume that a primer must be applied before the brush-on plaster, right?

The background is that we are currently planning a house and thinking about the work we can do ourselves! I would trust myself to apply such a brush-on plaster by myself!

It would be great if I could get some answers!

Thank you very much

Plaster on Q2, possibly Q3, fill and sand. Bonding agent/primer according to the plaster manufacturer's specifications, then paint plaster

Ok, thanks already for your answer!

Are there any disadvantages of [Streichputz] compared to plaster applied "thick" with a trowel?

For us, Q3 puttying would have been too much. Even the 1mm fine plaster covered everything. Filling joints and screws would have been sufficient. Then apply quartz primer and fine plaster. Or test on an unimportant wall.

I assume that one round of filling and sanding is enough. Then apply [Putzgrund] and then your [Streichputz]. That should be sufficient...

With us, Q2 was paintable without plaster. The drywall installer said he can hardly do less. Q3 is definitely sufficient for paint plaster with drywall.

We liked smooth walls, today we see how sensitive that actually is... Paint/roll plaster is, I believe, a very reasonable idea.
