Apply exterior plaster together with interior plaster or wait?

Hello everyone,

we are currently considering how to organize the timing of our plastering work.

We have heard from some craftsmen that the exterior plaster should only be applied a few weeks after the interior plaster, to allow moisture to escape from the masonry (Poroton FZ7/mineral wool insulation). At the same time, some of them say that it actually doesn't matter...

Our idea was to have the exterior plaster applied immediately to complete the trade. The installations should of course be finished by then.

Do you have any experience or recommendations regarding waiting/drying times for exterior plaster?

Interior and exterior plastering are two different trades. They can only happen to be done by the same company.

Our shell is just being completed (49cm T7 stone filled with stone wool). Interior plaster is coming at the beginning of August. At first, I wanted to follow the usual procedure and do screed in October and exterior plaster next year. But since several people have already advised me to plaster this “porous” stone before winter, I would even do that before the screed. Meaning interior plaster – wait 4-6 weeks – exterior plaster – wait 4-6 weeks – screed. Is that over the top or still sensible? Or like the thread starter, interior and exterior at the same time and screed later.
