APPLIANCE tall cabinet, drawers possible above?

a question for the experienced ones.. :D
My husband thinks that you cannot install drawers in the GERÄTE-Hochrank, above the oven and co.

He thinks that the levels that are not completely as deep (above these heavy household helpers) do NOT correspond to the required drawer depth measurement.

Is that really the case???

The heat generated must be dissipated, so to speak, an exhaust duct upwards!! And to maintain this "chimney," the back panel above the appliances would be moved slightly forward.

In the Faktum, the back panel was further forward. As far as I know, it is no longer the case with METOD. Instead, the shelves have a cutout at the back so that air can circulate inside the cabinet. The drawers are only 54 cm deep. Thus, I still have enough space free behind them. In case of doubt, you buy everything for with and without drawers and decide when the kitchen is almost assembled.

By the way, the tall Maximera is also available in 45 cm depth. If you swap the drawer backs, you can also make a low or medium-height one out of it. So if I want a normal depth tall drawer in the base cabinet and a medium-height 45 cm deep drawer in the tall cabinet, I buy the 45 cm deep tall one and a normal depth medium-height one.
