Silicone joints are maintenance joints and have no place in window installation. Not on the outside and certainly not on the inside. Silicone is often used on the outside, but that doesn't make it any better.
On the outside, the sealing can be done with the mentioned "Kompriband". A rainproof, windproof, diffusion-open, one-sided (on the window) self-adhesive, fully filling sealing tape is applied between the window and the outer wall shell. Special attention must be paid to a continuously tight execution at the corners. Alternatively to the rebate from the inside on the outer wall, the sealing can be done by strips equipped with this very tape along the reveal.
