Hi

Since I now have to make about 40 holes in my home for lamps, shelves, etc., my cordless screwdriver is not sufficient.

Unfortunately, it runs out of power after about 1 hour, and I also take longer for 1 screw.

Are there any cordless screwdrivers that, for example, allow mains operation? Or are these quick screwdrivers any good? Because I would really like to have something with mains operation, since I basically have power available everywhere I screw.

Please advise

How about a drill for drilling and a cordless screwdriver for screwing, just as it is actually intended? Drill preferably as a hammer drill.

A decent brand device with a 2nd battery. For example, in blue with 18 volts and 4.0 Ah. It is powerful and has endurance. And the 2nd battery is charged in half an hour. It should also last a DIY lifetime.

Our blue one has been doing fine throughout the entire house renovation. 2 batteries and that’s it. Plus the small green one in the box for fiddly bits in some corners. That’s a good setup.

A cordless screwdriver to drill holes in the beautiful reinforced concrete walls? That’s pure horror! Buy a hammer drill with proper drill bits and then drive the screws in with the cordless screwdriver.

And yes, there are impact cordless screwdrivers, but they are not meant to punch into those thick walls. I have a Makita 18V impact cordless screwdriver and I freak out with the proven ceilings. With the impact screwdriver from the socket at my dad’s place, I can make the hole in 5 seconds. The machines don’t actually cost the world. For home users, the green Bosch series is usually enough, for example.
