Hello, do you have an alarm system installed in your single-family house? If yes, a wireless system or wired? What costs should one expect approximately - for which variant? What experiences do you have? A mechanical protection (RC 2/ RC 2n) for windows, doors is planned.

Wired with KNX... not exactly a "real" AA but sufficient.

To the KNX group here: do you do „only“ an external envelope monitoring, meaning window contacts, or do you combine it with motion detectors that monitor the rooms for movements when absent?

I am not quite sure about this planning point yet, as I actually want to keep the number of PMs/motion detectors low...

It can be designed one way or the other as always. We have cats, so a PM monitoring is suboptimal. Therefore, only the exterior shell and the cameras are monitored.

Positive side effect: In addition to the actual presence simulation, the cats turn the lights on/off from time to time through the PMs.
